Killer Luke Mitchell: Questions For Shane Mitchell, That Torch, Filling His Car With Petrol, Murderers & Their Family Members & Scammer Sandra Lean’s Innocence Fraud Narratives (Part 46)

For many, Shane Mitchell’s failure to corroborate his younger brother’s alibi was one of the most salient pieces of evidence pointing towards Luke Mitchell’s guilt.

Despite this, there doesn’t appear to be much information in the public domain regarding Shane Mitchell’s whereabouts that evening, after his infamous internet session between 1650 – 1716 hrs.

The only info that does seem to be available around the issue of his whereabouts in the evening is that he left the house shortly after Luke Mitchell did (at approx 1730/1740 hrs) and, according to Corinne Mitchell, he was in and out of the house quite a lot that evening (which Corinne Mitchell said was a tad annoying as she was trying to have a fly cigarette, after telling her boys she had quit smoking; she mentions this in a podcast).

The only other thing that has been mentioned with regards to Shane Mitchell’s whereabouts after 1730 hrs is that he was caught out lying/fabricating about where he had been that night and that he was allegedly, at one point that evening, 7 miles away somewhere filling his car with petrol.

Why so far away?

We know that he was in the house at 2240 as he had given Luke Mitchell a torch to go out searching for Jodi with (along with the dog, Mia). But, what was he doing over the entire course of that evening?

A lot of focus was placed upon Corinne Mitchell as possibly the person who was burning blood-stained, forensically incriminating clothing belonging to her son Luke Mitchell in the Mitchells’ log burner.

But, could it have been Shane Mitchell solely who was the person burning said clothing?

I did read very recently on a youtube comment (not the most reliable source, admittedly) that, in addition to fires being lit in the Mitchells’ garden at 1830 and 2200, there was another sighting of burning taking place in their garden at 0200 on 01.07.03 (in which case, it would have to have been Shane Mitchell doing this, since Corinne Mitchell & Luke Mitchell were being questioned at the police station at this time).

Or was it a joint effort by the two?

Were their clothes tested?

Were they smelling of smoke?

More to the point, which other aspects of the case was Shane Mitchell cross-examined about or what evidence about him was led at court that was separate from his porn site/car site session?

Possible Similarities With Another Murderers Brother

It is not known if Shaun Hall (Brother of killer Simon Hall) was also arrested on the 25th of July 2002, but what is known is that Shaun Hall’s first concocted police witness statement about travelling to Lincolnshire for the Christmas family meal on the 16th December 2001 was a fantasy..

Shaun Hall never went to the family Christmas meal, nor was he collected by his adoptive father Phil Hall on the morning of Sunday the 16th December.

Shaun Hall’s then girlfriend Leigh told police just over a month after her then on/off boyfriends first witness statement was made, that “On 16th December 2001, we were all meant to be attending a large family meal but, due to X being ill, Shaun and I remained at home”.

The police also obtained photographs from the Christmas family meal and Shaun Hall was not in any of them.

Shaun Hall also swapped bracelets with his younger brother Simon around the time forensics were carried out on Simon Hall’s motor vehicles, as can be read in Part 11 of the ongoing blog series here.

Killers and their family members like Corinne and Shane Mitchell, and enablers like Sandra Lean can and do lie a lot during their fraudulent public relations campaigns.

The police would have had good reason for arresting Shane Mitchell and charging him with attempting to pervert the course of justice yet Sandra Lean has purposefully deflected away from Shane Mitchell and his antics that night, like she did with killer Simon Hall’s brother, Shaun Hall’s evidence for example.

Sandra Lean made very little mention in her discredited book No Smoke of Shaun Hall and never wrote anything about Shaun Hall’s lies to the police or that Shaun and his killer brother Simon Hall had swapped bracelets, for example.

Sandra Lean’s continued deflection away from Shane (And Philip) Mitchell’s evidence and details of his exact movements on the night of his brothers murder of Jodi Jones are the same deflective tactics used in the fraudulent public relations campaign of Joan Albert’s killer Simon Hall.

What exactly was Shane Mitchell doing all night?

Killer Simon Hall didn’t dispose of the clothes, shoes and jacket he was wearing until the Monday morning, and Luke Mitchell (And the Mitchell’s) had from around 17:30:hrs on the 30th of June 2003 until the early morning of the 4th of July 2003 to get rid of incrimatimg evidence and clean up the log burner for example, or any other fire pit they may have used in their garden.

Was Shane Mitchell definitely in the house at 22:40hrs and did he really give his younger killer brother Luke Mitchell a torch?

Luke was seen by one of the neighbours at 22:00hrs that night walking past his house, so where exactly had Luke been or where was he going?

Did the police seize the torch from killer Luke Mitchell on the 1st of July 2003 when he was first taken to the police station and if so did the torch have Shane Mitchell’s fingerprints on it?

What were the forensic test results of the torch and what did Shane Mitchell say about the torch to police and during the trial?

According to fantasist and blagger Scott Forbes he has recently stated;

Alice Walker said when she was on Roan’s Dyke Path, after 11 p.m., they didn’t always have the torches on as it was light

Yet Jodi Jones killer Luke Mitchell claimed last year during the ‘one sided’ scam of a TV show that ‘..it was dark’.

Also Corrine and Shane Mitchell have never explained why neither one of them went with Luke to search for Jodi Jones.

What was said in court during the trial about this fact?

Why didn’t Corinne Mitchell make contact with her 14 year old son, who was out on his own, until well past midnight?

Killer Luke Mitchell told the police his mother and brother had a fire in the garden that night and Corinne Mitchell admitted during the trial she had been burning something.

So there was definitely a fire in the Mitchell’s garden that night. 

What did Shane Mitchell say during his brothers trial about the fire(s) he and his mother were having in the back garden that night.

When Shane Mitchell went out to get petrol from the garage, did he put the petrol into the car or into a petrol can?
